Your thoughts on Limewire?

"Its the ultimate way to get the files you want"
"It sets you up for Viruses"
"Virus. On a Stick."

My Teacher said "Youre just asking for a virus!"

Is it that bad? I dont have it, but I thot about it.

yes i dont think it is worth it but

my friend has it and it doesnt seem he has virus's

GET AVG cuz it tells u you have a virus Quick and it will lock it up in a quick second

download only your MP3's on limewire and nothing else...
you'll have no viruses if you do just that...

well I got limewire and well ill say use it at ur own risk, a word of advice don't download movies almost 50% of them have viruses, I tried to download X-men3 and boom virus, so only use it for music and u should be fine

Limewire is good for individual songs. Ive found a lot of rare out of print stuff on there I had on cassette as a kid, promos, B-sides, ect.

For movies, bootlegs, and full albums go to Bitcomet/Pirate Bay

i've never tried it myself but was told that lime wire is only good for single music releases.
almost all the other files like movies, games, etc...either fake or contain viruses.
and by fake i mean that you might download a movie like iron man then it turns out to be porn movie or something like that.

As it was stated before. As long as your downloading music you should be fine.
Software, movies, and other stuff should be taken from torrents. I've never had
a problem getting music off of limewire. Tried to get some videos and got a huge
virus. Had to wipe my system completely

So does Ares have a lot of underground, and rare stuff on it MP3 wise? or is it all that top 40 pop, R&B, and MTV crap, because other than a few sites I never find jack on most of these sites.

I define good as variety, and selection. If I want to download a 1989 remix of an older indy artist I can usually find it on Limewire. Now I know there are a few that are better, but theres a lot more that dont have jack in my opinion.
