Personally aside from the MK movies, I have not seen a lot of talent being put into video game movies, Let's hope Soul Calibur is one of those rare good game movies.

silent hill sucked compared to Resident Evil (mainly thanks to the story change compared to the game mainly the mom instead of the father and the cop lady was nothing like the cop in the game...IT SUCKED)

hell no. The resident evil films sucked because it contradicted the video games. Nemesis was awesome in RE3, but he sucked balls in RE:A.
I'm glad Capcom is making the next RE instead of that retard Paul Anderson.
Paul Anderson is as bad at making game movies as Uwe Boll. I think if Anderson and Boll made a film together, it would probably bring the end of the world. The only thing that made the movies horror films was the terrible acting portrayed by the actors and actresses.
Originally the RE movie was going to be directed by George Romero, and he was going to make it based off the books (which are heavily based on the games). IMO Anderson should have named his movies something else, because his movies are an insult to real Resident Evil fans.
Silent Hill kept almost everything in tact. Sure there were changes to the story, but it was just made to fit it into one movie. Pyramid Head was even more awesome then he was in SH2, they also arranged the music from the games perfectly to fit the scenes.

Paul Anderson only made one good movie in his entire career which was Mortal Kombat, but he's also responsible for some of the worlds God forsaken movies like DOA.

Second, I liked the first RE movie. The second was one of those movies, to me, where you kinda liked it at first, but as time went by you stopped liking it. I avoided the third movie.
