make the lifebars layer 1 so the characters reflections dont overlap them

Just look for what sprite you want to modify. Say, if the sprite you want to come up in front of "reflections" is :

p1.bg0.spr = 1,1

Then you would just add:

p1.bg0.layerno = 0/1/2 any number of those that you want.

And thats it ^_^. But be careful, making your Lifebars Layerno = 1, will mean that if a character jumps high enough, he/she/it will appear behind the lifebar. Best of luck.
