1999 is when I started reading about a free 2D fighting game "where you can put any character you want, and any stage you want in there", that was available on the Internet. So, (googling MUGEN) I went to the first site I laid eyes on, and downloaded my MUGEN. I then searched around for some chars for hours and hours (because they were really hard to find back then with barely any being there), found some... downloaded.. I found some stages after hours and hours, as well. Then, I didn't know what to do... where anything went.. so I found the best tut I could find, and it all meant jibberish to me (I was young.. didn't know any better) so I got rid of everything.
In late 2002, I started reading about the game again, and wanted to give it another try. So, in early 2003, I found the game again, downloaded a lot of chars, a lot of stages.. (I was pretty shocked that MUGEN had become much more popular than when I started reading about it.) Me and a friend would just sit there and watch matches.. watch chars beat the $h1t out of other chars. It wasn't till the summer of 2003 that I started actually playing the game. By then, I had more chars, and stages.. had a custom screenpack and lifebar.. I had more fun running the MUGEN program.
After a while of boredom, I started to let MUGEN collect dust on my harddrive.. my computer was re-formated.. Then, it wasn't till the summer of 2005 that I finally decided "I want to play MUGEN again".. I got everything back, with more chars, and more stages before. I started trying to look for a better screenpack, and a better lifebar. Once I found them, I put all of my chars and stages back in, and started playing again. It wasn't till mid 2006 that I wanted to make MUGEN videos (after seeing so many).. So, I got my hands on a recorder and started recording small MUGEN videos.. I would invite a friend or 2 over every once in a while and show them my cool MUGEN vids. In late 2006 is when I became more serious when recording my MUGEN videos, and I had started my own MUGEN video series "The Battle For Survival" [my "The Battle For Survival" vids can be found on youtube].
It wasn't till last year that I thought about making things for MUGEN, and that's when I started Chameleon.
That's my story.
