Combining 2 parts of a stage into 1
« on: March 02, 2008, 05:16:50 PM »
So here's my problem I have the Raging Inerno stage from x-men vs street fighter but it's in two parts for some reason and both parts have their own def files and sff files one in its normal state and the other when it's all on fire.

What I would like to know is how to combine both parts of the stage into just one stage, so it becomes like how it was in the original playstation game i.e the stage changes in the middle of the fight to its second state, much like how Juggernaut's stage (space Port) from x-men children of the atom gets its rocket/space ship damaged half way through playing on the stage.

If anyone could help me in this matter I would greatly appreciate it

Combining 2 parts of a stage or character into 1
« Reply #2 on: March 16, 2008, 08:42:43 PM »
You probably discovered this already but for anyone else who asks, I've had this problem involving characters with two downloadable parts. It seems that as long as you download both files to the same place, such as your desktop or to a folder for MUGEN chars, then extract the first part using WinRAR or whatever, the second part should automatically follow. (Both parts will end up in the same folder.) You can ensure this happens by watching the extracting process. It will say something to the effect of "Extracting from [Your Char].part1.zip" then will say Extracting from [Your Char].part2.zip". I imagine the same can and will be done with stages but never had two part stages to test this on.

I hope this helps.

I've tried to do what you said and I still end up with two def files and two sff files. ???

If I send both files to you do you think you can have a go at them [-O<

I'm probably far from being the person to ask as I'm still new to Mugen, but sure, send me the stages and I'll try to see what's up. I'm wondering already, if the stages were made by the same person, if they actually intended them to follow one another like they do in the game during the match, or if they were made as stand alone stages.

Hey, there. With two different authors, I don't know how easy it would be to combine the two versions together, I just know that I'm not qualified to do so, knowing squat about coding.

Since it took me a while to respond, I did try to find the stage complete but was unsuccessful. I'm always out searching for stages, and if I see a completed version of Raging Inferno I'll let you know.

Thanks for trying  :)

I have looked everywhere to find the completed version of that stage but I could'nt well just have to have them as two seperate stages I guess.

If anyone out there who knows how to make stages plz plz work on this stage and combine it  [-O<
