Well Duh!! Obviously the big scary monster was the one that destroyed the rig and sent the debris flying up from under the water.

My question is, how would they have gotten that cell phone footage when the people taking it were obviously crushed by debris? Did the Coast Guard just happen to find a cell phone floating in the ocean, or something?

You obviously misunderstood my question.

When I go to the site, I don't see anything dealing with the movie. My question is, how does it pertain to the movie? I'm assuming it's the Cloverfield movie site that looks like a blog which ties the story together for the movie. I've been really stressed these past few days, so you will have to forgive me if i'm slow.

Its Extremely hard to explain at this point, the Viral Marketing has been going on for some time but the blog is the company that makes Slusho. The Slusho Drink's importance isnt known yet, I think the drink makes people Monsters, but that's just my stupid guess.
