Dude. If that happened to me when I got my ps3, hell would have broken loose.
$500.00 is just too much for that kind of thing to happen.
When I was with my fiancee last week, I was going to get her family a xbox 360, so I went to target, they were selling this thing called the "arcade version" for 350$, when they told me that it didn't have the hard drive, I got pissed and just left to go to ebgames. When I got into ebgames, they were selling the "arcade version" for 279 dollars, and the normal version for 350$ with two games, one was some racing game and the other was marvel ultimate alliance. I'm glad I didn't get the 360 at target, they tried to rip me off. 
@ first I was going to get her family a wii, but it was being sold waaaaaay too much. I mean it was so bad, ebgames was taking reservations for it.
