I personally think SNES & Genesis were both the best game systems ever made. I love both equally, they both had awesome exclusives that you couldn't play anywhere else and are more fun than anything made these days. I miss the rivalry between Nintendo and Sega and all the bada$$ games we got back then. Long live the SNES and Sega Genesis

Some people may not know this, but the SNES actually outsold the Genesis.  Sega has never won a console war and thats why they quit making them.  Myself I'm a die hard nintendo fan.

Both systems were great, and I enjoyed them both. The only reason I liked my SNES *ever so slightly* more was because I greatly enjoyed it's version of TMNT Tournament Fighters.

Now that I think about it...again

I liked both equally cuz they simplified the controls of the HUGE arcade machines, allowed free continues, no joystick (hate 'em unless driving/flying), allowed me to pause instead of giving up MY GAME to go run to the bathroom

I like Sega more because it was my first system and I like faced pace games like Sonic rather then slow paced games like Mario.

I still enjoy both though.

well for me SNES is way better, but the genesis had games that i loved like Gunstar heroes, and some others.

Against Sonic, who knows but mario has always been able to run faster ever since Super Mario World. No, not anywhere as fast as sonic mind you but im sure it would still be a good match up. Between the two, and being on the Wii, it'll probably have all kinda traps, puzzles, weapons, icons, power-ups or whatever to hit your opponent with.
