There were some good things I saw, and some bad things.

I liked how the future stuff looked with the purple lasers, I liked actually seeing them send the one guy back in time, I liked the twist on the story a bit, I like the Sarah Conners saying the "if you want to live" line.

I did not like the over use of CGI, especially near the end with the bus. Terminator, IMO, is a smaller spectacle with guns and suspense, not flipping buses.

I think Terminator 2 is the best action movie ever, so to me it doesn't matter how good the movie will end up, it still won't match James Cameron's awesomeness.

So, Jai Courtney is playing the role of Kyle Reese... ugh! I guess that's why Reese seems so lame & soft in this trailer to me. Well, at least Arnold's back.

Storm Shadow as a T-1000...      this might be cool, might not???

The girl playing new Sarah Conner kinda looks like Linda Hamilton. Hope she can act as good... Linda really nailed it in T1 & T2... those are some big shoes to fill.

All & all, this movie just feels alittle unnecessary just like Salvation did.

All & all, this movie just feels alittle unnecessary just like Salvation did.

Salvation was a filler to apeas the fan and move the story a little....besides the obvious miking the cow. Now with what Salvation  did was set the stage for one of two things; End the war or use time travel to extend the story.

With the trend of rebooting everything and Milking the cow why not change it. I would have like it to been the final fight instead of a reboot but at least they have the decency reboot in a way that doesn't just toss the past out for no reason. Look at TMNT and Spiderman... or even Batman (tho the reboot was better still .... argument for another topic)

Granted in general story telling form a realistic stand point all the stories have to come to an end but no matter how realistic they make these films it's still fantasy. Extend the stories and run them like there source material. This is why, tho as said would rather see the end of the war i praise them for this approach on the series. 

Look at how that did Star trek and X-Men. Both have they bad point and Trek is probably a far better film. (I enjoy X-men DFP allot more however) but the way they handle the reboot was done well. I see this as an attempt to do the same with the Terminator film series. And i can't stress it enough milking the cow as well but at least they are trying to make it entertaining as they pull on those tits.
