Agreed. Man the sentai have been around for so long i don't think there hasn't been a theme they have used at least twice but I don't think I remember trains being the main theme or pirates

nah they've never used trains before as the main theme of the series. However they have been used in Mystic Force and Lightspeed rescue as far as i know.

I do believe that GoGoV was train themes in the sentai ver. And Gokaiger was SPECIFICALLY pirate themed.

But, back to the topic of this thread; yes, when I heard about the new sentai and saw both the suits AND the zords I had the same reaction: TERRIBLE! And the saddest thing about this whole ordeal (and this is actually for both the sentai AND the US) Saban Brand is RUMORED to be skipping GoBuster and going straight for Goryuger (I thin that was the title of the one before ToQGer...it was the last one to use dinosaurs...AGAIN). I really hope that rumor is false, cause that was be VERY stupid to skip the series that was supposedly an ode to Power Rangers in the first place. u.u'

GoGo V had train zords but weren't really train themed and that's why I mentioned pirates because it's never been used more than once(I don't think).

I like the suit design as it is. Since they are doing color exchanges, it keeps it simple while letting you know which ranger has which color. Though I would like to know what does it do for them exactly? Like does it increase some areas that they lack? If one ranger was too slow or needed more power which color do they switch to? Or is it all just about improving imagination and exchanging weapons because that alone can be done without the color exchange.

Another thing is the perfect name for the Power Ranger's adaptation would be Power Rangers Prism Express. I mean, prisms bend light and different colors come out like a rainbow and since its theme is trains express just makes sense. But I do not think Saban will listen to the ideas of a fan.

^This. If Saban/Saban Brand was listening to fans ideas, we wouldn't the -EHEM- train wreck (no pun intended) that is Super Megaforce...which, mind you sound quite a bit redundant IMO. Seriously, as childish as this may sound, if you actually think about the terms being used in these past 2 series (and I use the word 'series' VERY lightly here) we have ULTRA Mode which is pretty much a MAX term, we have the title power of the first of these 2 seasons, MEGAforce which would kinda be in the middle, and then we have SUPER MEGAforce, which to me sound like they are taking a step backwards or, as I said before, is just being redundant. This all sounds like a small child is make up these terms as they read some story or something. It's just all kinda sad really. But, as a long time Ranger fan gonna keep up my tradition of not missing a singe episode...which at this point is gonna be really, really hard to swallow.
