Magma Dragoon released by Gladiacloud & Beximus
« on: April 30, 2014, 03:35:18 PM »
Gladiacloud here.

I and Beximus are back with a new MVC style character!

After Akainu, I decided to create for him a sort of rival. He comes from the Capcom universe, and it is not a main character.

He is one of my favorite boss from the game Rockman X4, as well as the only Maverick robot with references to the Street Fighter characters.

As well as able to control the magma.

Although Beximus helped me a lot in creation of Magma Dragoon, he will not be part of his full game. Who knows in the future.

I wanted to create him because I've always wanted to see him fight in Mugen (and I think many others Mugen fans).

I could never make him, if, back in 2002, a retired mugen creator called Jack Bandit not created a Magma Dragoon using a lot of edited sprites and a
six buttons system. His Magma Dragoon was practically incomplete: he had not get hits, he was full of bugs, and his FX were a little messed up.

We can say that, after 12 years, I was able to complete and improve the work left unfinished by Jack Bandit. ;)

Have fun!

Well, at least he's playable after all those years. He's the most anticipated character that i ever wanted play as him in MVC style gameplay, since i hated to use him with 4 button systems that was created by Steve from Japan.

We need more like this, to be perfectly honest. Slash Beast could also be used for edited sprites, but it's practically impossible to do it, requires more sprites resources, more times and all that, but i'm not gonna go into that.

It feels like i'm playing as Akuma from SF series, but with fiery things that surrounds him, no shinku hadouken hyper, that's good. :D
Especially the one that you can do hadouken in the air like Ryu did from M. Vs. SF. I like him. Feedback will be open if you feel ok with that, Gladiacloud. Giving this a thumbs up.

Magma Dragoon is personally one of my favorite Mavericks from the MMX series. Great to see it's released. :) Thanks for bringing him up.

Just tried him out, and he's very well done, just as I'd imagine he should play. Though I'm never too keen on character resizing, the sprites are great too. Overall of course I'm impressed, awesome character release. :cool
