I have tried really, REALLY hard to understand helpers but I can't because there is no  helper projectile tutorial... why is there not any helper projectile tutorial and simply that??? its really confusing

so heres a rough diagram i made for how the projectile should go http://i.imgur.com/R0JERJY.png so in a spiral pattern, and i found cyanide's tutorial of it but it didnt make sense to me cause he was talking about helper parents which like i said i have no idea about

That specific effect does not match my code snippet. Each of the projectiles shown in my code snippet at guild are going dead straight. There's just loads of them. (and they are projectiles btw, not helpers, i would never put that many helpers on screen)

I have also made a projectile tutorial using both projectiles and helpers. It's really simple. But it won't help you here

You can't use a projectile for that effect. You have only 1 option to alter the velocity after firing a projectile. Thats projaccel, and at best you can get a backwards curve that continues up forever, you can't make it go down again.

You need to use a helper. Here is how to think of helpers. Make your character do it. Now change the animation and have the character call that state as a helper. That's all they are. There is nothing you can do with helpers that you can't do with a normal character.

Probably the simplest way to do the above is with multiple X and Y veladds occuring at different times. If you wanted to get fancy you could use a constant velset with a SIN or COS equation in it. But veladds are easy to manage. Set it up to go straight (post your code) and i'll help you out with making it bend like you want it to.
