help woth some coding

hi guys I am looking for some help with my code I have to keep a extra ( none combative Sprite on the Screen when my Toon is Standing still ) very much like the Crow in Raven who always flys behind him * and even attacks in some Alphas * I just want to know how to code it to stay until he is hit or attacks inc..

You mean a basic explod, that's visible while he's in any movement state like stand walk jump?

[State -2]
type = explod
trigger1 = numexplod(ID specified below) = 0
trigger1 = stateno = [0,99]
anim = blah
ID = ID of some sort

[state -2]
type = removeexplod
trigger1 = numexplod(ID specified earlier) = 1
trigger1 = stateno != [0,99]
ID = ID as per before.
