Hey, guys, what's going on? I'm brainstorming about how we could bring Arkham City Bats here. There are multiple bats out there, true, but I'm pondering, what ideas would you want to see implemented if he was to be brought to mugen?
Brainstorm and give me your thoughtful responses. BTW, read on through the posts to see what I have in mind.

Well first off, his items he uses in Arkham Asylum/City. Like the explosive gel, the line launcher, and maybe a hyper combo involving the Inverted Takedown

Hmm...you know, that reminds me of the slippery goo in the batman forever game...that's two things already. Good thinking, Hype. Explosive and slippery goo. 3, pepper spray...just keep it comin, guys. Your ideas don't necessarily have to be straight from the game!

Costume damage that shows up as the fight drags on would be epic on any Mugen character....

Um, he doesn't have slippery goo. Nor does he have pepper spray

Hmm, that's doable, and very good ideas. Is there a way I can change palettes via coding? Also, my CROM brothers, let our fraternity know what I'm doing and that I need ideas from the group as a whole...

I'm thinking of TOPS' Silver Surfer. He changes his color as you beat him.I think it's something similar with the damaged costumes.

I know, Hype, but Batman from the Batman Forever game does! I'm thinking about implementing moves and specials from that one as well. Bats will definitely have that palette or a palette similar to that one as well.

You'd have to smart palette every sprite to achieve the damages in costume. It would be far more complex than flashing.

The real chore is finding someone to sprite it, but coding will be tricky to if doing it by palette. I can't think of a way to do that without adding code to every state, and may not work in custom states.

I think if you released something to show off your skills you may get more support.

Perhaps. But this is simply brainstorming right now. I want the intellectual foundation laid first before I begin the building phase - I don't want to do all this stuff and  then someone says it looks like I ripped ideas from anyone else's Bats, y'know?

But this is suppose to be Arkham Asylum/City Batman right? Why add in moves from a game not connected to those games?

Hype, this is not just going to be limited to Arkham only, I'd be adding different moves in according to palette. For the Arkham City palette, he'll be moving like he does in Arkham City, I"m thinking. In other palettes, he'll be having different moves accordingly.
I'm thinking about different things to do...
I"ll post some sprites to show what I'm making and some ideas.

Yes, I just thought about that. I needed to be clear about that. first post revised. Im thinking to make a release for one palette thats arkham city-based, then as I go forward,Ill release additional dlc to be added on as time progresses. But it will cost you to get it: a cookie. :) Reviews will be appreciated so i can be ever-sharpening my skills.

Right, Z, I remember your advice very well. However, I'm considering making one myself that no one can lay claim to or squawk about. He'll be open-source and no part of him, be it sounds, sprites or coding may be used in any "closed source" (whatever the h*** that means) character. I'm talking with my buddies to see about how to make this work, but I need your ideas as along with everyone else here who reads this thread and has something to contribute. Should there be enough to warrant it, I'll go to work on this as my second project (Wing Gundam is my other, still in the works).
Should this come to fruition, everyone who has contributed will be named in the credits, read-me and download page and will be a part of Team Gotham.
