and this is why respect Harada and his Tekken games still till this very day...i will always be a SF fan first but i was already confident he was going to keep it real with his TEKKEN X STREET FIGHTER. ALL his tekken games were heavy with characters and full of game progress unlockables..

THE BUZZ: On the other end of the spectrum from our story earlier about the DLC characters for Street Fighter X Tekken comes this from Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada—who says his series will never have for-pay characters.

EGM’s TAKE: While fans on Capcom’s fighting games are currently mired in arguments with the folks in Osaka over DLC characters, in an interview with UK publication Edge, Namco Bandai’s Harada says that Tekken players won’t need to have such concerns.

“Tekken has never had DLC before and charged for it. This isn’t really directed at Capcom, I have always said this, but I see the characters and their move sets as chess pieces – they are essential items necessary in the game and we would never sell any of those individually.”

Harada went on to tell Edge that he didn’t want to be seen as criticizing Capcom for the DLC efforts, because that was “Capcom’s business decision.” He also pointed out that he saw the logic in including DLC characters on the original Street Fighter X Tekken game disc, as it helps make sure that all players have the character data needed.

However, Harada then noted that he wouldn’t rule out DLC of any sort for Tekken—just that it would only be used for things like vanity items.

“There are some strange people on Twitter who ask for really peculiar items like bikini suits for Lee Chaolan,” he told Edge. “Obviously, we wouldn’t have had that in our original development plan, so if we were going to do it, we’d need to create it right now, without a budget – obviously we’d have to charge a little bit for such items.”

I thought they changed that. He was the training instructor in SFxT and is in Sakura and Blanka's ending. Besides, didn't somewhere Harada say he had interests in bringing Dan over to Tekken or something?

I really want to see characters like Geki and Retsu in this game. They haven't been in a street fighter title since the original 8-bit Street Fighter. I hope they make more of an effort to include characters like that in the game and change it up from the same old repetitive rosters.  It would be cool to see them make a debut on a modern system.

i say take sawada out from capcom side and take out Tiger from tekken side and you got an awesome roster period.  maybe replace them with one new tekken and one new street fighter. done deal for me.  everyone else should be a total go!

I do tho wonder what playstyle it will actually incorperate. i love to have the regular one on one style for this game. since sf x tekken adopted a Tekken tag style it would be great to see it switch off in this game towards the regular standard way.

One more fighting game to get and will enjoy it!

For me, buying this game will actually depend on weather necro and/or karin are in it, as I'm not a fan of 3D fighters, or Tekken in general.

well for me bro i actually favor 3d fighters buit i like the nostalga of 2d very much. i only play real 3d fighters like SC, DOA and VF. Tekken i have owned every one except the latest one out.  So this is very interewsting to see how they actually portray and pull off the Sf characters in theior version , add to that...back to Unlocking characters!  thats right there is a cool selling point. i think this one will def outsell sf x tekken if done totally right.  like said too, that whole roster is good to me ( minus out Tiger and Sawada ) and just add in one new fresh blood  from both sides  thats new.

Hmmm... If you scroll so that you can just see the first 24 of each side, I am pleased with the SF side (except Evil Ryu, but if you take him out, Geki is there), but the Tekken side looks weird...

uhh whats so weird about the tekken side? of them are in sf x tekken anyways. . minus certain ones. Tiger i dont think should be in there or Sawada.  The rest of the cast i think should be in tho. I actually wanted quite a few from each side in sf x tekken, especially Karin and R. Mika. Sodom would been good to go against Yoshimitsu. but seems they will get that love in this game ./ even tho there is 10 more slots left in sf x tekken , i just see them coming to this game only.

Yeah I really could care less for the Novelty Characters. I mean... Roger and Raptor have the same movesets...why the heck would we need 2 of the same character? EVEN SO. COMBOT, Tetsujin, Mokujin AND Unknown are all copy characters. They all take a random moveset. I would say add one of them because it just wouldnt feel like a tekken game without one.....I pick Unknown  . It would be nice to see the characters from SF3 Fight For the Future in the game as well. SF Alpha characters need to get their shine to.

you know what i find kinda weird ralph...dan and sean i would have thought would have higher stats then that.  Me and a couple guys that play fighting games at work got into a  beef about this. they brought up the whole...too many shotos in the roster. i had to firmly deny all claims that Dan and Sean are true enough shotos ! there are only in move commands. . they are totally different in some playstyles to keep them apart from ryu and ken and akuma. Dan has his and sean is completely has his own. I want both in since i am a Dan fan and Sean fan. they both need to make a debut on this game.

( i would have loved them both on Sf X tekken even more along with Necro, Q and karin and R mika if they could have all gotten in! Perfect!.)

• anyone from Final Fight
• the whole SF2 cast
• Necro
• Adon
• Geki, Retsu, Joe and/or Birdie (I never though, that Capcom would revive the 8-bit Street Fighters, so they should get their chance)
• Yun and Yang
• Dan
• Fei Long
• Eagle
• Go Hibiki or Gouken
• Gill (I never liked Urien...)
• Gen
• any Tekken counterpart of the SF cast, that should be in this game (I never got the chance to play any Tekken games except that one demo of either Tekken 2 or 3, but it will chage soon, if I'll buy Tekken 3DS)
• Alex the Dinosaur or Roger Jr. (animals with boxing gloves are a most-have)

These chars are just must-haves. There are also other chars, that I would like to see...seriously, there are only a few chars, that I don't like. Urien is a Gill pushover and I never really liked Twelve. I really don't, why...

This I agree with, though Street Fighter 1 isn't 8-bit, it was released in the arcades then released on the PC.[/list]
