I dont know how this got past my movie watching radars but im really interested in seeing it. it looks like his best acting ever done. he wa always a cool actor but this looks like some serious acting here. its supposed to be about his life so maybe thats why he put in so much passion. I saw one quick clip of him putting on some emotional acting and i was like Woww i didnt know Van damme could act like that...

haha anyway check it out. For those who has already seen it then express your thoughts. im curious about what you thought of it because it looks great to me^^

i found some info that it was said that the reason why that one scene came out so emotional was because he filmed that part by himself from the rest of the crew and just let it all out. so its surreal acting. hes serious but its made for the movie. i thought that was a smart method. the man need a lil oscar for that. im impressed because i always seen him as a martial arts movie actor and not an ACTOR if you get my drift

this here is a first for me to see em like that. heh i guess cuz its actually real that one scene^^

That because hes getting old my friend... no more HU-HA for him. If you understand what i mean. His few last movies are without fighting to much, only guns and drugs. I wonder hows he fighting in Expentables 2... i think hes the bad guy in this movie

but overall in general, has van damme always been a great performing actor? not really. An Entertaining martial arts actor? yes. ive seen some of his recent low budget flicks (even that last universal soldier) and they werent all that. So for me seeing this side of him im like wow its really interesting to see. ive only really enjoyed his flicks in the 90s thats it. his acting in this one is being fueled from his real emotions of his life since most of it is about what really happened in his life. its a rare side of him ive never seen in all the years ive watched van damme flicks

as for him being good or bad in E2, i dont know myself. i dont know how much on the kick@ss action scenes he can pull off but it will be pretty amusing seeing him and chuck back on screen again for this particular movie and together for the first time...its a treat for oldschool fans like me. Funny and hella cool at the same time. I think the rock should be in E3, he really wanted to be in E2 (which i saw in an interview) but he didnt make the cut due to time and his GI joe flick and other stuff. He would be a nice new edition like how Stone cold was in E1....Hmm even Scott Adkins would be a cool edition in E3.

i actually saw this movie awhile back. was definetly a unique side to Van Damme.  i have several movies of his i am a huge fan of like Double Team with him and Dennis Rodman. I like of his older flicks especially like Bloodsport and Kickboxer. as a martial arts actor he is pretty cool for what he does. as an Actor period in the sense , not much but i base his acting according to what kind of movie flow is like. I dont expect him to be like a jonny Demp type actor cause that isnt what he tries to come off as or have roles that thrust him to become those kind of parts. JVCD is definetly a good take on what his acting abilities can show when brought with a cool lil script and dedication to getting it to come to life as himself the actor and not van damme the martial arts actor. As a Martial Artist myself i can respect the mans' kung fu hustle ya know. . but this was a cool take on what his acting abilities can be witha cool script and some more push added to him.

His SF is low budget movie, but its way much better than Legend of Chun-Li crap.
