Hit limt

Hello all,
 I was wondering if someone could inform me on how to; if possible to limit my chars attack chain
to about 3-4 hits using the same attack. :example a Light punch I want done about 3-4 times before it can no longer connect. Can I do this?

I've been trying and so far not so much I'm looking at the wiki site, http://www.elecbyte.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Triggers ; To try & understand but im still a little lost...
