Marvel And Capcom: Save The Universe
« on: August 20, 2011, 07:02:32 PM »
I know you're probably wondering "Oh god not another compilation of random characters in one package." Well it's kind of like that but not random. I've tried alot of people's (Groups/Teams compilation) versions of Marvel Vs Capcom or something of that variation on mugen. They've always missed one IMPORTANT thing. Tag mode. I like the idea of simultaneous fighting but that tends to get old and cluttered, and its not of the original MVC way. I downloaded over 100 characters from the marvel and capcom universe. Now hold on, don't leave yet if you think its just another BUNCH OF CHARACTERS compilation, through some painful bug testing with the MVC Project Tag Code patch on EVERY character, i eliminated the selection to 72 characters. Overall, a group of them were either buggy or didnt work well with the tag code (E.g., Defining Ghost Rider's Hyper state in the tag file, he would never commence a Hyper when performing a dual hyper move so he was removed.) I will release a video if you guys would like to see it in action. I have single handedly edited ever character to work with the tag code, the tag patcher only worked with about 70% of the characters, and even those 70% still had bugs with them. Difference here is i just dont compile characters right away, i end up debugging them ALOT. It's still very early to release it though, more tests on the characters have to com under way. So anyways, here is the story behind my game im creating, its pretty rough right now though, so bare with me:

There is an unbalance in the Multi-Verse, both Marvel and Capcom universes have been corrupted by evil. The Living Tribunal has decided to rid these universes. Doctor Strange has once convinced the Tribunal to spare earth once, but this time the universes will have to fight for it. The world of both streetfighter and X men are united to stop The Tribunal, but not without help from the rest of their universe. The Tribunal gives them an opportunity. If they can fight for their universe and defeat him, they will be spared. You choose 2 fighters (or 1 fighter in arcade mode and 4 in turn mode i guess, I wish there was a way to get rid of that option actually) to challenge the Tribunal, but he turns the rest of the warriors on you, so you must battle through them first, then end up fighting the tribunal. (P.S. Ill be spriting and coding The Living Tribunal Myself) thats all for now, its an ok start i guess, ill post pics and videos if this thread is worth it, i dont want all this shown on a thread that has no views or posts at all.
