so i notice that we arnt even thinking about the original topic, incase you forgot it was anonomus shuting down facebook

im just wondering how this turned into a disscussion about human nature/ acoutability

Lando, no, no, no - you ain't getting the point.
The point not is "killer is not guilty because he was was given reason and weapon", the point is - killer is guilty AND those who gave him reason and weapon.
Afaik there was incident on GTA4 first sale, some player, GTA fan, shoot someone, I can't recall the details, but that happened. When you look at this situation  you see only that killer, I see the person who played in game which says that killing is good and fun, you should kill someone if he blocks what you want to get. Also I see merchant who sold gun or parents who bought prev games and left gun in accessible place. And that's not all, I see society that made his parents work hard or get drunk or else so he was able to get gun, I see society that made him stick to that game and make all his life that game and nothing else. Killer is OBVIOUSLY GUILTY, but NOT ONLY him. There's no excuse, but guilty should be shared with every one who got their part in this.
You can't deny that he IS the product of his environment and his own self as everybody else.
You know that psycho-maniacs are not in jail, they are in special clinics. That's true they are guilty, that's true they are insane, but also true that they hadn't become like that only by themselves and what I want to say that those who made them that way should be blamed also, there's also one or two episodes in their life that made them that way and it's psycho-traumatic, who ever caused that trauma is also guilty, they are guilty BOTH.
You see where I'm getting? There's no person unaffected by environment, it not lifts blame from person, but it puts blame also on environment and they should pay for that adequately to to their influence.

And as for facebook and others - I see no good at them, blogs/image-hostings/IMs/etc. are working better and causing much less troubles.

Entertainment is the point of life. You work hard now to be entertained in reclination later. That's all life is. Hard work now with the promised pay off of whatever the hell you want to entertain you. To believe anything else is a silly notion.

Know that entertaining things are not exclusively material. To put it in shallow terms, my girlfriend entertains me. With her I am never bored, rarely upset, and always in a good mood. This wouldn't have happened without several months of work.

Happiness lasts for only a short duration, however people and things with the tendancy to entertain you have the potential to bring a continually renewed experience of happiness, kind of like drug addicts. As such, you work to seek out these and similar things.

It is impossible to be happy without being entertained by the aspects of your life, and so the pursuit of happiness is of itself the pursuit of entertainment. They are one and the same, and if you are not pursuing that expectation by either name, you are living wrong.

The discussion became one of human nature, environmental factors, and accountability, because that is essentially the debate Anonymous and Facebook are engaging in, in a more guerilla fashion. Anonymous, or rather, this Imposter Anonymous (probably lulzsec) is trying to hold Facebook accountable for their actions against the users, essentially being an internet Judge Dredd. As such, advocates on either side will find themselves debating the ethics of their fellow species in relative terms to the larger corporation.

i see what you saying exelord. but i cant agree whole hearted with that .  I come from a very very bad enviorment. But i have no criminal record, never been in jail, never sold drugs, used drugs or kill or steal. Fights, yes because back then kids like to test you and it was either you put up ya fists and fight or get smashed .  but i never went around doing bullying.  So to always use a instance as "product of their enviorment" has to be proven by a great margin.
Facebook and other social networks i just cant see them being to blame for such breakdowns in humans without the human behavoir already being unstable to begin with. Now that said individual is in a pot on the stove with the fire set to max. somethin crazy is bound to happen.

We are on a social network right now typing. if the trolls and the haters just rattle people that much they give up mugen creating all together or just coming to this forum to speak to enjoy friends conversations and network together then they need to not be on. real deal tho, when you are on social network sites you have to have tuff shell, ego in check and not be a quackpot, because there is always more things with people in this world on net or real life that will get under your skin to provoke you more than there is to enlighten you. you can find those tho that do great things but its diggin through the dirt  to find that perfect worm to catch your perfect fish in the vast waters.  Fb has gotten me in contact with so many friends man and i was so happy i got an invite to one of my childhood friends fuctions he has every year that gets all of us together from daycare days to college years. of us hadnt seen each other since 4th grade and now we adults with kids. You get out of FB what you want and feed into and out of it. Annonymous dudes are just weirdos. FB was Plan B from sony being plan A.

honestly i really cant down on FB.....well especially after the week before last.

It was an epic reunion for my Family. I found my lost cousin after searchin since 2003 er so. we thought somethin bad happened to em fataly because he just lost contact. dropped out of site and everything. we have been lookin for this guy since 2003. we were on our way setting someting up to get an investigator (seriously) to check his last residence in boston and all that. we all mostly live in NY but we are all split up and moved so even if he wanted to try and find us here he wouldnt have found us really.

Anyway early last week i decided to try again and i typed up his name to see what happens like ive done many times before. THIS TIME a young boys face pops up with his same first and last name and "JR"..at the end so im like...wait wtf

I click on the 7 yr old boy face and he looks EXACTLY like my close cuzo. im like "nah this cant be them "...i saw the lil girl and im like wow she looks like my cuzo too . so what i did was hit his younger brother up. Yes even his brother havent heard from em in ages and was really really worried for years. he saw the kids page and he BLEW UP!! " OMFG!! YOU FOUND EM!! OMFG!! " they boy was buggin!! i was really happy also . so he contacted His EX wife who he happened to see connected to the boys page and sure nuff we got to my cuzin and we were all over whelmed . the man lost all his stuff due a huge fire. got divorced and had to start all over again. he still dont have the internet. only his kids with his ex wife had the internet. just got it. he was almost certain and depressed he would never see his family again. he didnt even know of the deaths in the family. No contact at all till i made one click on a persons face on FB. we talked for 2 hours at least on the phone and he was really happy someone found em through his sons page who he just told his ex wife its ok for them to have a page as long as its monitored close and had the parental lock on it. Funny right?? so now hes coming down to NY in august for a reunion party

    they surely arent either. they just as bad as those they go against.  anyone that puts personal information on open blast is their problem. there is nothing anyone could want from mines that i didnt freely give in the open.  That group wanna be like some kind of retarded robin hood hackers. .
Makes me wonder, who funds them with the latest in crypto gear to go unidentifed and undetected? thats of moolah to do that and thats if its really of them. could be one guy/gal behind the whole thing. they so dumb that they dont even realize they too are a social network. HACKERS!
