I have to say that I just watched Sucker Punch and Battle:LA and loved them both, especially Sucker Punch. Zack Snyder did an incredibly amazing job in writing and directing that movie.   

Zack has already directed three of my favorite movies, 300, Watchmen and Sucker Punch; of which he wrote two of them. I can't wait to see what he does with Superman. I dare say that in my eyes, he is now right up there with Christopher Nolan because I also dare say that Sucker Punch was as much a breakthrough as Inception.   

What is sad is that I keep reading Sucker Punch reviews from complete idiots that say. "The cinematography is amazing but the storytelling and characterization are complete failures." and "But one downside to the fantasy sequences is that they do not matter. Since they're completely in the minds of the five girls, there's no sense of danger." They also complained about Snyder not showing the dancing, that the characters were not compeling, that the movie was not rated R, and that there was not enough gore.   

These people clearly proved that they did not understand this movie and I already wrote to them to let them know how ignorant they are.

First of all, the only one imagining anything was Baby Doll. She was the one that had already lost touch with reality, not the others. There was danger throughout the whole movie for all of them. Two of them died in the asylum. There was no need to show the dancing, because there never was any. That was just her interpretation of her role of distracting everyone while the others pulled the stunts. They were in an asylum the whole time. The brothel setting was just in her head since the orderlies abused the girls. Everything that happened in the asylum was left to the imagination. Finally, there was no need to show gore or to make this an R rated movie. Zack Snyder went for a compeling story of a girl who lost all sense of reality until she found her purpose. She wanted to be a hero in a cruel world, like most of us. He filled the plot with excitement masterfully. In a sense, this was another "Inception" type of movie where everything is just symbolic. I guess they didn't understand that movie either. They probably never realized that Leonardo DiCaprio had also lost all touch with reality and that the whole movie was just a dream, his dream. Both were great movies and both to the intelligent open minded individuals are clear successes. This movie is just way too intelligent for people with narrow close minded vision.

I loved this movie, and that was a great summary. I don't know what the critics were expecting, but I saw one of the best action movies I'd seen in years.

Ight cool ill check it out . I heard folks really picking it apart on the story and how it was written. But over all the FX was top notch entertaining i heard. I saw battle LA the day it came out. Loved it!

Damnnn! they showed that old @ss super mario 2 ending with mario sleeping!

Zack already said in one interview the movie takes a lot f video game elements...he laughed and said that so i totally get the movie concept in visuals and what to expect. a fun roller coaster ride and not too much Reading into.....nothing wrong with that as along as its done well

I can agree with you about the "not enough gore" comment, that IS pretty stupid. I haven't really seen this movie and I might check it out.

I'm learning lately that Snyder is a VERY Hit-or-Miss director. With the casual movie goers, there's universal praise, but with critics, there's bashing to heck

Don't get me wrong. I respect if somebody doesn't like the movie or didn't understand it, but don't trash it like if it was crap or make comments that don't make sense just because you didn't understand the movie.  


It gives it a bad rap and then we won't get more good original movies because they are killed by idiots posing as critics...
