Need some help on a changestate issue

In this move P1 is pushing p2 then it change states to where p1 jumps away using frontedgedist to determine when it changes 


[State 1205, ChangeState]

Now the problem is that I need p2 to change at the exact same time so he's pinned against the wall.

I tried to code it using the same concept on the p2 state

what it should do is change to the pinning sprites in state 2944 once it hits the wall.

The problem is that it's not changing at a constistant time. If the push is a long way from the edge it changes too soon, if it's close to the edge it lasts too long.

How do I make it so that it changes the same time that p1's state changes.
