How to hide the lifebar behind the character?

Hey guys,

I was wondering how do use put the lifebar on the background layer instead of having it in front of the character all the time?  Whenever I change this:

p1.mid.layerno = 0
p1.front.layerno = 0

the character only goes in front of the mid part not the whole lifebar.

Maybe you forgot to set p1.bg0.layerno and p1.bg1.layerno.

Do I have to set those two to 0 (zero) as well for it to work?
