Omg... I just like.. freaked out! I just beat Fuel by Metallica in the game and I unlocked the next set after completing it.. OMG!

I think I almost had a stroke!... ...wtf...

They gave me my favorite song right after my second favorite song (Fuel btw)! FRANTIC! OMG! woo... gotta calm down.. I pumped up the volume and played the heck out of it!!.. (and yes I play on hard... expert is like hard on steroids.. I don't like it... )

Who else has this? I just rented it for the 360 today and I only got 3 days! If you want to play the game with me then hurry up! PM me or something!

Ah, I love Metallica, only reason I don't own the game is becasue I have Rock Band controllers, rather than Guitar Hero controllers.

I don't feel like getting into the whole piracy/metallica thing. I still like the band, they just wont see any of my money ever.

Did you even rent it first? Why would you buy the game if you weren't sure it wasn't going to be good... and by the way I know it's a matter of opinion but I do prefer GH5 because of the variety, but this is still a very good game.

cuz i like metallica a lot (i like'em, not love'em) and also i liked GH, so i thought it could be a great combo... of GH5 i only like a perfect cirle and i love to play that song at a friends house...

Hmm... after beating this game only after 2 days of renting, I would probably agree now... Unless you're a HUGE fan of Metallica, don't buy this.. just at least rent it. I was stoked yesterday when they gave me Fuel then Frantic back to back (my 2 favs) but other than that... meh... there were a couple of other songs I was surprised to see in there... It's a pretty good game.. I would probably buy it once it goes down to $5 or $10 (in store and on eBay)....

Oh and yeah.. having to purchase their full Death Magnetic album... complete ripoff!! It's a metallica game! Why would I buy a Metallica album for a Metallica game? It should be in there already! WOW!

Because when Death Magnetic came out, the album came with a dlc pack for GH3 which could be carried over.

okay... but why should they still be DLC for the actual Metallica game then? The game came out in 2009 and they're album in 2008...... that makes no sense to me...

Because the Death Magnetic dlc isn't from GH:M, its from GH3 but works with GH:M. If it was included in the game, it would not be accessible in later GH games all the other GH dlc.

I see what you're saying but is there no way they could've just put it in there and disregarded the Death Magnetic album purchase unless you already purchased it? Maybe what they could've done is given the players some more songs if they bought the D.M. album from before instead.... saying something like "Hey we appreciate you for buying the D.M. album, but it's already in this game... so we're just going to give you a bunch of other songs that no one else can play with..."

That would've made more sense.

that's really a generalization. there's more to it than that, and anyone who read up on the stuff knows that.

You know I agree. Metallica led the charges on that war on napster. They are the last band that should worry about something like that. I mean cmon, how many millions of dollars do they have?

I used to like Metallica when they were good. They sold out after Justice for all & that's all I have to say. The next 3-4 cds were garbage. Although death magnetic is pretty good, because it's close to getting back to their older sound. You know why? Because metal has become cool again. I mean look Disturbed, Killswitch , Slipknot, etc are now getting mainstream radio play. So of course Metallica went back to being heavier again, " because it's cool "  They did what they did in the beginning, because they liked that style. Kill em all was great, But Master of Puppets they polished what they started & it was a masterpiece. Then they just became sell out posers. True Metallica/metal fans will never respect anything they do now.

With all this talk about Metallica, I just went & downloaded the first five cd's so I could make my own best of for the car

BTW Atice, you just got this game? It came out like last spring...

@DT: I just rented this game because I'm borrowing GH5 and the guitar for GH5 from a friend... that's why I just rented it... Plus I've always wanted to try the Metallica game. I don't have $100+ to waste on a guitar game right now...
