I swear I just don't get it. Why would you want to make a character that's pretty much unbeatable?! What's the point? Can someone explain this? Why does this Liu Kang have a one hit kill, but only if he looses a round...? What do you all think about cheap A.I.?

there is a difference between good a.i. and just destorying A.I. =/

Hey guys,

I'm pretty new here but... I'm coming to be the lawyer of the Devil.

So yeah about cheap AI, I say I'm ok for it if & ONLY IF:
- it's with nice sprites & fix,
- the char must not be made with only 1 kill move.
- good game play is necessary.

So, for example IMO, Rare Akuma is for me a good cheap boy; Psycho Shredder is a less good; & A-Bomb is a big crap.

I think lke it cuz I like challenge & watch mode; & think also that mugen is a game; so sometimes u win but sometimes u must to loose.

For me, the beauty in mugen is in this very strong AI that u called "cheap" + nice fix.

I know what some guys wont be agree with me, so I think also that the ideal should be that u must be able to settle REALLY the level of AI in mugen parameters, cuz until now, the fact to put the AI to 0 or 9 in mugen doesnt work... maybe in the final release version of mugen by electbyte who knows ? ...

EDIT: just, for illustration again about that I've just say, IMO this ryu is a bad crap cuz he got crap sprites (Street fighter the Movie??

) & bad fixs. but there is in mugen some Ryu chars which got a cheap AI like him, even with better combos, which are good because they got nice sprites & fixs too.

I hope to convince some sceptical guys XD even if it doesnt matter if not

I understand what you're saying... however.. There is "challenging" and then there is "No CHANCE in hell you're gonna win..ever!" There is a very big difference.

XD I understand u, indeed, but u know the real no chance is for me Rare Akuma, the Nightmare SSJ3, A-bomb, Psycho Shredder, Master God Ryu & Ken...
Maybe it's because I usually use DBZ chars who got Solar flare & warp XDD

OFF TOPIC: u know, for me the most understandoodale isn't this theme "cheap AI or not", it's rather the fact that some guys make chars for mugen like Jesus, Hitler or Obama....

some of the so called cheapest ones are meant to be used in an specific fullgame wich makes them more balanced inside of it. Get the char outisde of that environment and you can wonder what happens.

In the video, seems that ryu got his balls bursted with the fireball, that´s why he lost all his life in one hit.....

man i just wanna learn AI period for my own chars And not to abuse it but make em entertaining. Thats the only reason why i like great AI cuz cool just sittin back watch the CPU go at it at times...

One amusing cheap AI is the Tuff E Nuff Jado Boss char. Im always amused by that lil dude

I think that has more to do with him being broken. He gains power from the grenades move, which he shouldn't.

But as far as cheap goes, here are a few I keep in my roster for the lulz:

Dude learn to block when liu is doing he's special dragon fire, you pretty much counter the first blast and get nailed by the rest of them. If you can block and see it coming do it, other wise you might want to replace him or fix his command so the damage is not as much as other characters.

i think its because the creators get kind of angry when a new one comes and makes a creation that owns them, and then they revamp their characters to beat that new one that everyone is still talking about. i hate cheap A.I.
