Kingdom Hearts on PSP

It's been confirmed and here is some info on it.

"It was an awakening that would signal the beginning of the Kingdom Hearts saga. Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep is the tale of a new trio of heroes, told across three scenarios utilizing the groundbreaking technology of the PSP. Exciting new features are introduced on top of the traditional controls, game system, and visual style of its predecessors.

The Keyblade is said to hold phenomenal power. One legend says its wielder saved the world, while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it.

Long before Sora took up the Keyblade, there were other Keyblade masters. One of these masters, Xehanort, disappeared one day along with his apprentice. This event proved to be a foreshadowing of great disaster to come. Aware of the threat, another master ordered his three apprentices to seek out Xehanort and his cohort."

I'm really looking forward to this because I really haven't been playing my PSP so this is a good reason to start using it again. And it has Roxas as a main character. Instant win.

hmmmm.... I wonder if it's just going to be a search and destroy game, or will it be like the others and actually have worlds... I wonder which worlds will be chosen... hopefully a lot of new ones...

this is the one i wanted to play. it makes kingdom hearts more interesting because roxas is the main character and Xehanort in his other form is in it. You will never guess who his apprentice might be but he looks an awful like Riku in his masked suit and the way he walks. interesting isnt it. i have the video still.

That's the secret ending in KH2. I still wish they would bring Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix to the US. It even has the remade version of the Gameboy advance title in full 3D with it.........

This was announced LAST year. Along with a Kingdom Hearts DS game, and a Cell phone game.

Birth By Sleep is a Prequel, With Three new Chars: Terra, Ven and Aqua. The central story is finding out who Ven REALLY is. Ven is the knight who looks like Roxas.

When you say new chars and Terra, are you sure that that's not the Terra from Final fantasy 6? Or was he calling that guy, that looks like he's from the Final Fantasy 7 game for psp, terra?

from watching that video i think i understand now. they gave away too many details now. ven is roxas and roxas is wen and at the end when he said erase thats when he became a nobody...he became the nobody of sora. remember at the beginning of kh2 where the two guys in the black coat were talking and one asked him o you remember what your true name is? that had to ven aka roxas nobody of sora talking which means someone knows about what happene back then in the past between ven, terra, and aqua. so in other words ven strength combined with sora makes him even stronger. that is probably why roxas is able to live life everyone else and feel though he is a nobody. that must mean roxas has a heart or at least half of one. so im guessing that sora and ven aka roxas are connected through their hearts. but where im speculating on is aqua he girl with blue hair may just be namine in nobody form. it looked in the vid i posted like she cares for him very deeply. though both cant remember their real names the two do acknowledge the fact that they know each other like they id in kh2 when they said i knew i promised i would see you again. i guess it has somthing to do with what Xehanort did to Ven's heart which started all this. thing is the one Xehanort that they faced in kh2 couldnt have been Xehanort...not the original. It must have been the apprentice and the rel xehanort must still be out there trying to figure a way to seperate Sora from Roxas in order to make Roxas succumb to the darkness. or maybe as an interesting twist, what if the guy in black in my video that appeared with Xehanort is Sora. or a guy who looks like Sora but something happened to make him into the person he is today. thats  lot to think about isnt it . the reason why i say it couldnt have been the real Xehanort in kh2 is cuz that Xehanort is old looking. when did he get so young and this is long before Sora of now took up the key blade. if you notice the eyes of terra, leon from kh2, Ansem from kh2, Xehanort from the video, Xehanort from kh2, and the fake Ansem from kh1 all have that yellow color in their eyes. i believe terra used to be on Xehanorts side because that seems to be a signature mark. anybody notice how leon/squall looks an awful like terra?

Talking about this game makes me want to beat Kingdom Hearts 1 and play Kingdom Hearts 2.... i've never done either.... and I feel I need to to understand the story...

everytime this subject comes up i feel like playing it. there is a lot of foreshadowing going and some scenes they put in the game that are out of place to throw u off on purpose. im starting to believe a lot of my theory to be correct though

Somebody need to do an iso translation so we can download Final Fix and play it on our harddrives connected to our Ps2's using HdExtreme.......so we can read the menues. It still is english dubbed though like ours.

man I love KH, and theres a new game coming out now am super syced, but its for the psp damn, I hope it comes out with a Wii version or Ps2(doubt it)

Got the game yesterday @ Chinatown and currently playing it. I must say that SquareEnix did a great job porting the slick graphics of KH to the PSP (albeit some finer details missing). Here's some things about the gameplay I'll share with everyone:

1) Game controls are similar to the PS2 versions (Analog Pad moves character, X for jump, Circle for Attack, etc.)
2)There are two types of control setup: Type A and Type B. Type A gives you more control over camera, abilities, Deck skills, etc., while Type B is abit more simplified concerning camera and some other settings. Default is Type A.
3) Deck Commands are skills and abilities you can cycle through and access through the Cross pad by pressing up or down. You can cycle through them on the fly, and press the corresponding button to use them. You can also shortcut you favorite Deck Command and use it immediately by pressing the right cross pad button. You can apparently find more Deck Commands, as well as purchase them at a shop.
4) Something new is Command Style, which you can access after filling a special gauge by fighting. Once you activate this, you fighting style will change, such as you can move and attack very fast & elusively. There are different types of Command Styles, possible multiple for each character.
5) D.Link (Dimension Link) is the ability to use the aid of friends to do a grand attack (similar to how Sora summons characters from different worlds to help/assist/attack in KH1 and KH2), as well as use different Finishers special to the character you are using (similar to Limit Breaks). You have a special D. Link gauge that needs to be filled up in order to use any abilities through this.

Here's some info about the characters and a little about the game (without spoiling anything):

1) Three main characters are Ventus, Aqua, and Terra
2) Ventus is, you can say, Roxas. How does Ventus become Roxas? Those who have been following the KH story should be able to piece that together. Ventus uses the keyblade in the unconventional, underhanded grip, and uses very quick attacks.
2) Aqua is a calm, yet stoic girl. She's nice yet has a strong sense of justice. She pretty agile and uses magic with her skills
3) Terra is a strong, discipline boy (mid-late teens?). Very direct & straight forward. He's the power hitter of the group.
4) In this story there are many keyblade users...yet how come there aren't that many (at first) in KH1 and KH2?!? KH: Birth By Sleep is the story that takes place before KH1 (think about the 1st 3 parts of the Star Wars story when there were many Jedi knights....). In this story, there are actual Keyblade masters that train others to be keyblade wielders. King Mickey appears to be a student of the Magician Ein Cid (name's in katakana so not sure if this is the correct spelling, or if it will be changed in the English version) at this time and and may just be learning magic from him (and Mickey's bad at it ). Not mentioned yet where he learns his keyblade skills from and under which keyblade master (currently 2 that are linked to the story are unveiled in the manual.
5) There is definitely a connection between Sora and Ventus (Roxas)....

I'll end here for the time being so I can play some more   . Btw a word of advice: when you get this game, you have to play it with a 1GB or larger memory stick. Reason why is you need to data install this game to the largest install type (3 types, 200 mb, 400 mb, and 600 mb). If not, progression in battles, utilizing the menu, cinemas, and so on will take forever to load.
