Sprites, transparency, and other objects.

Couple of questions for you brillent minds here.
Say i wanted to have an effect image appear over another sprite durring some attacks, like if i had a lunging move and i had it so only when done with the hardkick it had some cool effects appear over it...

Or when i do a hyper have some neeto sparks or something move arround my character for a moment.


Second question, is there a way to put in a code in a hyper or speical move that gives the projectile a translucent apperence without trying to sprite it with allot of gaps in the pixils.

#1: That can be done with helpers or explods. Explods are better for effects & flash, while helpers are good for duplicates of a character, projectiles with advanced velocities, and other stuff. There should be a tutorial about how to code both....

#2: In FF, open up AIR, go to the group # where the sprite of the projectile is, and click on Alpha Editor (under Flip & to the right of the box with the single A). There, you can make a projectile (and any other sprites) transparent.
