I say you should make a full character using sprites like your avatar. Seriously, I keep expecting those eyes to unleash enough energy to put cyclops to shame.

I love the sprite with the cartoon style (the guy with sword).
Especially that kind of sprite is really cool with hi-res style.
I wish I could do sprite like that...

Wow, that looks pretty good, is that Strider btw? I`d say use 3 different tones per color for basic shading or make it five to add MvC style outlines and such if that`s what you are going for. By the way, how the heck do you guys manage to use Photoshop so well anyways? I still can`t do much with it I`m afraid.
