Error: Can't open stage

once again my mugen is bugging out  . I've tried testing all my stages individually and they all seem to work fine but on arcade mode mugen will die randomly with no further explaination than the error message in the title. (doesn't even say which stage it can't open  ).

I've noticed it happens whenever I continue after losing a fight.

it means in your select.def one of your characters has a type where the stage information goes.

I JUST HAD THIS PROBLEM. JUST ASSIGN A STAGE TO ALL YOU CHARS. SET UP IN ARCADE MODE.
