Just came back from a run using Proto Man.

He's just a blast to play as. Sliding helps a LOT in tough spots, and charged Proto Buster shots make work of enemies in a short time. However, playing as Proto is a bit challenging. He takes hits far worse than Mega, and seems to die really, really quickly. But if you make use of his positive traits (namely the shield) you should blast through in no time!

I want to play more, but I have to go bake a cake for a surprise party. (Crap...) But Proto is definitely worth your 2 dollars. :)

Ok, I just put another half-hour into Endless Attack and I have to say, for anyone who really wants to test the mettle on their Megaman skills, this is THE mode for you.

The mechanics work like this:

Advance as far as you can go untill you die. You "score" is tracked by how many new screens you advance. You're given full access to your arsenal to assist you on your journey towards inevitable death and enemies do drop weapons and energy capsules, so don't think you have to be extremely perfect to survive.

However this is no mere game of memory. The stages are randomized everytime you go through and every so often you'll have to face a Robot Master, so try not to overuse your weapons or you might find yourself stranded when you need them the most.

This is definitely worth the 300 points you'll have to spend on it. If you have Megaman 9 and love the challenge of the old school classics, add this to your game.

I might have to end up buying another Wii points card for this. Also, I heard that some of the random rooms are actually recreations of places from past MM games. I heard something about Wily Stage 1 from MM1 popping up...
