As the subject title says....

I need a little help in programming Psylocke's Psi-Blade attack (her anti-air move in MvsC 2).
So far, the command in the .CMD works perfect and ALL required sprites for this move are included in the .SFF file.  But now, I have a few remaining issues.....

Here's the general layout of what I have so far in the .CNS file:

1) State One:  Chun Li calls Psylocke out.
- - - - - -
2) State Two:  Psylocke jumps/flies in from behind Chun Li; flying animation.
3) State Three:  Psylocke lands in front of Chun Li; landing animation.
4) State Four:  Psylocke performs the upward Psi-Blade; psi-blade animation PLUS Psi-blade alpha-enabled Explod.
5) State Five:  Psylocke goes into her falling animation after Psi-blade; falling animation.
6) State Six:  Psylocke goes into her SECONDARY landing animation; landing animation #2.
7) State Seven:  Psylocke performs her taunt; taunt animation.
8) State Eight:  Psylocke jumps backwards, towards the back edge of the screen relative to P1 and disappears after 50 ticks.
- - - - --

The problems are as follows:
1)  Psylocke's sprites in State Four still have the black border in the individual .PCX files even after I've corrected their 256-color palettes in PaintShop...
2)  Psylocke always skips State Three's animation (her landing State and the corresponding animation, just before performing the attack).  That is, instead of staying as 'Psylocke' when she lands, she immediately changes sprites to look like Chun Li....... which is clearly a serious bug.
3)  having trouble giving her a proper velocity for appearing onto the screen after being summoned by Chun.

So please, anyone who can help, I'll gladly give you credit and put you on my next YouTube video!

So..... I have managed to fix everything related to the .CNS, but I still end up with the following problem of the black background of the psi-blade sprites themselves.... and I used the exact same palette in PaintShop as the other Psylocke sprites.

Here's a shot of Psylocke flying in, just before her Psi-blade attack:

Now here's her doing the actual attack:

.
When I batch-processed the individual PCX sprites, I used the exact same palette as the one extracted from the sprites that already DID show up fine in-game.  But as you can see, the black background still remains.  AND, I've made sure that those sprites are in 256 colors and not 16-bit(thousands) of colors.

Any suggestions?

and put no shadow in the helper.

So here's the deal...  the problem was that it wasn't enough to convert the 16-bit sprites down to 8-bit.  For some reason, Photoshop indexed the black background color as the color circled in red (see picture below).  The correct indexed color is the one circled in green.

Anyway, the corrections were made and here's the result!

wow, great shot!

first, avoid to use "noshadow" feature. If kinda absurd, you think about :) Why seh wouldn't cast shadow?

second, to avoid it, NEVER uses black as the background color:

you can, on PS, ctrl+click on the first black square then on the one before the last, this will aply the same colord for all squares, choose an another color, like 0 255 0.

Whoa... Ilusionista!!!  Long time no see!!!  I remember you from the old MugenDev forum!!

Anyway, I kind of prefer pure black as the background color to make it easier on my eyes to determine which colors are simply dark-gray and "actual black".  It's much harder for me to look at if I had a pure-green or pure-magenta background.
