How do you control characters in watch mode?

Isn't the idea of watch mode that you don't control any characters?

I don't understand why you would want to control a character in watch mode rather than just play the character in arcade or team arcade mode?

Watch mode is exactly what it is  " watch mode " If you want to make a character just block or something use training mode . Pause it & you can set up for the compuyer character to do anything you want , jump block , etc.... constantly .

Perhaps he wants to record a fight against a specific char. If so, you just have to press ctrl+1 to control p1 and ctrl+2 to control p2.
