Just had a moment during my moving to work on a new project :
Predator from AVP CPS2. All sprites were resample and cleaned to fit MVC style characters. The char will have the same style of my ToSix edits.
What's done : all basics.
To do : Specials and hypers will be inspired from Sergeus's works, with some Iron Man stuffs, etc.

I am not very satisfied with the sprites but that's all I could do... (hoping to see this one (http://www.infinitymugenteam.com/Forum_345/index.php?topic=29967.0) finished one day...)

Beta next week, maybe someone skilled could help on cleaning the sprites.

you should keep the sprites at the normal size they are, and scale them via mugen coding.

since mugen 1.0 is aiming at working at a larger resolution, scaling for a favorable result won't look very bad. Look at how Warusaki's (and pretty much all *relevant* CVS characters) are scaled to look slimmer, much like what Capcom themselves did in the same game.

If you try to resize them this way, they'll look smudgy and dirty.

Mugen scaling looks good sometimes but avp sprites are too small...

A lot of ideas... from Sergeus works and from mvc world.

ok im just going to throw some random ideas here

1) Spear Throw (can be invisible when impaled then you can see it afterwards)
2) net throw (the net from AvP that closes in doing a bit of damage before it gets torn apart)
3) invisibility combo (where predator turns invisible and just does a punch kick and smash on opponent)
4) lazer target (the shoulder lazer targeter thats a triangle follows opponent)
5) shoulder cannon (this is linked to the lazer targeter follows it like a heat seeking missile and explodes)
6) long claw impaler (predators metal claws gets longer allowing for longer reach to impale opponent or do   a few slashes
7) jump of walls (like chun li does)
8) grab move (one arm grabs opponent and throws or could do punches)
9) spine rip (like subzeros fatality? opponent on floor and predator rips out spine and holds it like a trophy
10) wild boar rush (remember those tusk like boars from the movie predators? you could use them for a move)
11) desperation bomb (predator uses wrist computer to activate a powerful bomb in case hes losing and in takes approx 7 seconds to detonate once thrown or it could be a small bomb up to you)
12) mother ship beam (as a intro or outro the mother ship beams the predator to or from screen
13) include light green blood
14) ultimate shoulder beam (massive blast of a beam shoots out everywhere and bounces of walls hitting opponent)
15) voice rips from movies

well just thought it could be usefull

recalls that rule: The predators never attack while wearing camouflage, unless they are at high risk of death.

not consider giving these skills in melee. may be activated if you have low health ...

Man, I like what i'm seeing here. Well done! :thumbsup: I'm looking forward for final version.
Small thing - I think spear should blink, then blink faster and vanish(maybe it does, but I'm not seeing it because of youtube) after it falls. :-?? Anyways, good luck to you with him %%- awesome stuff :thumbsup:

woah...damn good looking wip so far  =D> I like the creativity you put into it. Seems a lot of passion was put into it too seeing the ideas. I see youre a big Predator fan. great work...
