So far, I have 2 sprites (enlarged so you can see them better):

Human form stance
As you can see, he is based on his BR2 incarnation, using Charlie/Nash for the sprite base and adding stuff from Guy.

NP, this looks like an interesting wip. One last tidbit, Yugo's belt buckle doesn't exactly face the the position that he is facing.
Wow, that must be REALLY uncomfortable for him...his pants all twisted up like that >.< LOL
But yeah I am REALLY looking forward to this wip! I LOVE the BR series too and Hugo was one of my faves! ;D

Not quite what I want yet, but it's getting there. (I desperately need to improve drawing skills as far as ripped clothes)
I'm also planning for Yugo to have strikers, to pay homage to multiple BR chars at once.

i like this head too high.. i don't like the second form.. it's very different from bloody roar character of yugo. (i have bloody roar's game) the proportion can't be the same of human body.. but this frame is only an idea of my wolf form..

But I really do love your second edit of Yugo's beast for I like the longer mane or maybe its just on the others the head is just too high. Maybe you could shrink some of the tail width-wise and move it down as you stated so that we can tell its the tail and not the mane.
